Attending the Collision Conference 2024 in Toronto was an unforgettable experience. Representing George Brown College , I had the privilege of being part of one of North America's largest technology conferences, which brought together industry leaders, startups, and innovators from around the world. Special thanks to Neal Lilliott and startGBC

ARRIVAL AND INITIAL IMPRESSIONS

From the moment I arrived, I was struck by the scale and scope of the event. With 37,832 attendees from 117 countries, 1,834 exhibiting companies, and over 1,000 media members, the energy was palpable. The venue was abuzz with excitement, filled with people passionate about technology and innovation.

SESSIONS AND SPEAKERS

Over the three days, I attended numerous sessions, but two stood out the most: Vinod Khosla’s talk and a session by the the godfather of AI; Geoffrey Hinton. Vinod Khosla’s insights on the future of technology and startups were incredibly inspiring, while Geoffrey Hinton provided a deep dive into the ethical and practical considerations of AI development. He also warned about the danger of AI, if the development in Artificial Intelligence isn’t audited. These sessions were not only informative but also motivating, pushing me to think critically about the future of my own ventures.
